About ME

 I started making jewellery 6 years ago when my son started school. It began as hobby and a way to occupy myself whilst recuperating from a number of operations. I immediately fell in love with the creative process and began selling pieces to family and friends. At that time all of my business was through word of mouth but after 3 years I decided to try selling to a wider audience. I did my first craft fair 3 years ago and loved it so much I decided jewellery would no longer be just a side hustle and so Ozita and Bobcat was born!  

So, why Ozita & Bobcat?

Ozita is my middle name, it originated from Iran. My parents lived prior to me being born, in fact I should have been born there. However the Iranian Revolution began in 1979, shortly before my mum was due to give birth to me so sadly my parents had to leave but they gave me a Farsi name as a reminder of their happy times there.   As for “Bobcat” - that’s a nickname I gave my son when he was still a baby. I have no idea where it came from but it suited him so it stuck!
